Edmonton's new professional basketball team has been put together.
11 Edmonton business professionals have come together to revive the International Basketball League franchise that folded when complaints surfaced regarding owner Troy Burns handling of the finances.
The Chill are no longer and you can welcome the Edmonton Energy to the City of Champions sporting scene.
Head Coach of the Chill, Paul Sir returns as the head coach and general manager of the Energy.
The Energy's inaugural game will be played May 8th at Grant MacEwan gym downtown against the Vancouver Titans.
The president of the team is David Dorward, who is well known in the Edmonton basketball scene, and runs Dorward and Company Chartered Accountants. (jn,blb)
