Police tape is up around a blue bungalow on the northeast side. Police arrived there around 6:45am Friday morning and found a man dead inside a bedroom.
Staff Sergeant Bill Clark says around 6:15am, the man’s brother went to a nearby medical centre asking for help. Police were called, and when they arrived at the house found the man dead on the floor.
Clark says, as per protocol with a sudden death, it is being considered suspicious at this time, but the brother is cooperating with police.
“The individual that we’re speaking to is providing us a logical version of what he said happened.” says Clark.
Clark says there was obvious trauma to the dead man’s body, but wouldn’t specify what it was and was unsure how it happened. He does say there was no sign of robbery or forced entry, so the public shouldn’t have to worry.
“We’re not thinking we have some random person breaking into houses or anything like that.” he says. “If anything happened, it happened all inside the house and it does look like it would be people associated to this address.” (kb, ms, sj, Global News)
