The official opposition leader is going on tour.
Wildrose leader Brian Jean is taking a RV all over the province to talk to Albertans, and find out what they want from their provincial government.
Jean has already travelled 2000 km’s, prepping for the summer tour. He says there seems to be growing disappointment with the NDP government.
“Certainly I’ve never seen more interest than I do today,” says Jean. “The number one concern overall by all Albertans is the economy and jobs. Everyone knows somebody’s that has lost their job, or had to take a pay cut as a result of these trying times. And certainly the government has been no friend and everyone recognizes that, at this stage.”
As for Conservative MP Jason Kenny, trying to unite Alberta’s right, Jean says he’s doesn’t want to discuss Kenny’s leadership campaign.
“It’s a divisive battle that we expect to not be helpful for the future of what Albertans want us to focus on now. They’ve hired me and the Wildrose and our 22 MLA’s are very strong. And were going to focus on what we’re hired to do, and that’s to look at the NDP and make sure we provide big and small ideas, and an alternative to what they’re providing.” tl/CHQR
