Calgary police say all three people involved in a deadly stabbing on the northern edge of Calgary’s Chinatown district knew each other.
It took place around 2:30 p.m. Thursday, leaving one man dead, a woman slightly injured, and a second man in custody.
Inspector Dean LaGrange says witnesses at the Perpetual Wellness Chinese Centre were quick to point out the suspect to the arriving officers, and the suspect was taken into custody without incident.
“At this point investigators believe the incident to be domestic in nature.” says LaGrange.
The deceased man is being identified as Dr. Tiejun Huang, the owner of the wellness centre where the stabbing took place.
