The Edmonton Oilers are bringing back winger Zack Kassian for another season.
His new deal is for one season and worth a reported $1.5-million.
The Oilers acquired Kassian on December 28, 2015 in a trade with the Montreal Canadiens, sending goalie Ben Scrivens to the Habs. With the Oilers, Kassian played in 36 games and had three goals, five assists, and 114 penalty minutes.
Kassian spent the fall of 2015 in the NHL’s substance abuse program. He was drafted 13th overall by the Buffalo Sabres in 2009. (jrw)
