In so many areas of our lives, the worst part is “not knowing”.
You have a test for a medical condition. They say they’ll let you know the results, soon. But what does that mean, tomorrow, or next month?
All you can do is sit and wait and worry about what you will know and when you will know it, and what happens when the results are in.
The evacuees from Fort McMurray know what ails their city and they know what the remedy is, and the city is sure to make a full recovery, many just don’t know why the medicine is taking so long to administer.
In the meantime, some are sleeping on a cot, lovingly provided by those who care, but like being looked after in a hospital bed, they are still unable to get back home to work.
While they wait, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau visits the burned out city tomorrow.
Like the medical specialist who works to calm your fears, he wants you to know “The Government of Canada is standing shoulder to shoulder with you.” The news release says, “We will weather this storm together – and together we will rebuild.”
That’s very comforting.
Now, about that pipeline…
Let me know what you think.
