It’s the Rotary Club of Edmonton’s centennial year and it’s celebrating this weekend with a slew of events aimed at youth.
Like the Youth Summit held Saturday, that brought together like-minded youth to connect, network, share and build community. President of Rotary International Ravi Ravindran is in Edmonton for the first time for the celebrations.
President of the Rotary Club of Edmonton, Randy Heaps said when getting people to join Rotary, it’s not so much about the age, but what the club stands for.
“Doesn’t matter, these days I think especially youth are looking for way that they can get involved in their community and have an impact, and Rotary provides a great avenue for them to do that”.
The weekend celebrations were capped off by the Centennial Gala, Saturday night.
