Saskatchewan Premier Brad Wall joins me today with a message for Prime Minister Trudeau, post election of Donald Trump as POTUS. Shelve any immediate plans for a national carbon tax, particularly given the environmental and economic direction Mr. Trump will choose for the U.S. A carbon tax now would damage the Canadian economy and job prospects.
Mr. Wall also has thoughts on the Keystone XL pipeline, as well as NAFTA, which Donald Trump has had in his sights for some time now.
Immigration lawyer Eddie Kadri joins me from Windsor, Ontario. How frequently is Mr. Kadri hearing from Americans seeking to flee to Canada since the election of Donald Trump? Do you think they have a legitimate reason for wanting to come here? I’ll open the phone lines.
Dr. Zuhdi Jasser, president of the American Islamic Forum for Democracy and asra Nomani who teaches journalism at Georgetown University will speak to the issue of fears being expressed in the U.S. about Donald Trump’s plans for immigrants and particularly Muslims.
