Edmonton Police have arrested a 25-year-old man who they say has been running from the law.
Back on October 10, Edmonton police say they arrested Jeffery Shane Ryan for allegedly driving a vehicle with a stolen license plate. However, Ryan managed to drive off at what police call a "very high speed". At the time, he was subject to a probation order.
Then on Saturday, Spruce Grove/Stony Plain RCMP spotted the suspect driving eastbound into Edmonton on Highway 16A. Police say he drove into a Walmart parking lot off Stony Plain road. RCMP boxed in his vehicle but Ryan allegedly backed into a police car and drove away. Police say Ryan was supposedly driving a stolen vehicle at the time.
Early Tuesday morning, EPS arrested the man. Ryan is facing numerous charges including dangerous driving and flight from police. (ks)
