Mural Program

Because graffiti vandals generally leave outdoor artwork alone, the Graffiti Management Program (GMP), in conjunction with 630 CHED, developed the Giants as a way of honouring Edmonton’s best, beautifying the city, and deterring graffiti.

630 CHED listeners can recommend and vote on-line for outstanding Edmonton people, places, or things as subjects for the murals. The GMP organizes the artist(s), pays for the mural, and for three years of mural maintenance.

Property owners can celebrate the best about this city with a Giants of Edmonton mural on their buildings, and help fight graffiti at the same time. To have your building considered for a Giant or other community mural, contact us.
