While her quotes are endless, here are five really good ones:

1) Being powerful is like being a lady. If you have to tell people you are, you aren’t.
2) If you want something said, ask a man; if you want something done, ask a woman.
3) I am extraordinarily patient, provided I get my own way in the end.
4) To wear your heart on your sleeve isn’t a very good plan; you should wear it inside, where it functions best.
5) It is not the creation of wealth that is wrong, but the love of money for its own sake.

Sometimes if you hook up with the wrong people or cause at this point, it can be disastrous. A case in point is the story Dave Rutherford is talking about this morning. It involves the three young men who were recruited in London, Ontario, who wound up going and fighting in the Algerian gas plant takeover. As Dave mentioned this morning, how does this happen in a benign placed like London? I personally know of broken hearted parents whose children got involved in cults and they never heard from them again. We all pray that doesn’t happen with our kids, but at that age, they are on their own.
Tomorrow just after 8:45, I will talk with Lama Nicholas, a correspondent for Global’s magazine show 16x9. This Friday she has a story on young Canadians ...

What the...heck?

Here's an interesting story Ed passed along to me this morning. It make you wonder if it was a coincidence or if someone planned this:
Why does Satan look suspiciously like President Barack Obama in the History Channel's hit series The Bible?
That's the question on many viewers' lips after Sunday evening's episode of the popular show featured a devil-playing actor with an uncanny resemblance to the 44th POTUS.

Social networks went into meltdown as thousands of the 13.1 million audience pointed out the eerie similarity between Obama and actor Mohamen Mehdi Ouazanni, reports mediaite.com.
Right-wing commentator and radio-host Glenn Beck tweeted: "Anyone else think the Devil in #TheBible Sunday on History Channel looks exactly like That Guy?"

Logging on to computers at work, internet banking, email accounts and countless other online systems has meant we ignore traditional advice for password safety, experts claim - so how can you devise passwords that are both safe, and memorable?
With so many of the daily functions that we used to handle face to face or over the telephone now being conducted online, we are ignoring traditional advice about password safety. And, it seems, a memorable word is no longer seen as sufficient as systems often require letters, numbers and capitals to feature in your password.
The result is that we use the same password, or a variation, across all of our online log-ins. And when one is compromised it means that all of them need to be changed.
Last week, professional networking site LinkedIn ...

Hmmm

Down in the Florida, police picked this guy up after some compalints. Here is an excerpt from their report:

You must first learn to pronounce the city name, it is: 'ED-MIN-TIN'.2. The morning rush hour is from 5:00 a.m. to noon. The evening rush hour is from noon to 8:00 p.m. Friday's rush hour starts on Thursday morning.... 3. The minimum acceptable speed on most freeways is 130 kph. On the QE2, you are expected to match the speed of the airplanes coming in for a landing at the airport. Anything less is considered 'Wussy'.4. Forget the traffic rules you learned elsewhere. Edmonton now has its own version of traffic rules. For example, cars/trucks with the loudest muffler go first at a four-way stop; the trucks with the biggest tires go second. However, in Southwest Edmonton, SUV-driving, cell phone-talking moms ALWAYS have the right of way.5. I'll take out the warning from my sister-in-law that they will give us all cancer. The soil sterilizing one here is inetresting. I'm thinking of the size of the turntable in my microwave and wondering how long it would take to do enough for my whole garden. I'm guessin somewhere around 20-90 years, give or take. I thank Ed Mason for passing this along:
How to wash your socks in the microwave! Not to mention using it to pep up your mascara, get chewing gum off clothes and ripen an avocado
Revive dried mascara
It's easy to give your clogged-up mascara bottle a new lease of life. Put the tube (lid off) next to a cup of water in the microwave (the water will stop it drying out).
