The phone lines at insurance offices are getting a workout.

Pat O'Hara is the claims manager with Millennium Insurance in Sherwood Park and says he's so backed up, his claim adjustors will be booked solid for the next handful of days.

O'Hara says the majority of the problems he's hearing about, are flood related.

"(Mostly) flodding problems, sewer backups, toilets overflowing in basements, water reaching depths sometimes as tall as what a basement itself could be. Other things you'll see are hail damage, mostly on the external (part of homes)."

He says it's best to be patient when making a claim, and don't leave it until the last minute. Also, take photos of your damage so you have proof the storm is what caused it. (lk)
