There are 206 bones in the adult human body. Bones weakened by osteoporosis can fracture more easily. Women experience a faster bone loss but men can suffer serious health issues and multiple fractures as well. Calcium, vitamin D, diet, exercise, education, and drugs can work together to reduce the risk of fractures. Those who have osteoporosis need not suffer alone.
