The Inside Story

Osteoporosis: Not Just Your Grandma's Disease
with Michelle Boden produced by Debbie Mainwaring

2/15/2012

• Airs on 630 CHED Monday, February 20th, 2012 at 2:00 pm
• Encore Wednesday the 22nd at 9:00pm

There are 206 bones in the adult human body. Bones weakened by osteoporosis can fracture more easily. Women experience a faster bone loss but men can suffer serious health issues and multiple fractures as well. Calcium, vitamin D, diet, exercise, education, and drugs can work together to reduce the risk of fractures. Those who have osteoporosis need not suffer alone. They are encouraged to become involved in local support groups. Join Michelle to find out more about the prevention and treatment of osteoporosis. With thanks to:
