Head coach Ralph Krueger says he was proud of the way his team reacted after a disappointing phase in the 2nd period.
“I thought we had an excellent first period, but it could have been due to the back to back that a little mental fatigue cheeped in during the middle of the game,” Explained Krueger. “To dig deep though and recover like we did, it really showed the way this team believes in their identity.”
Taylor Hall who knotted the game at two, felt his team played well enough to hand the Sharks there first loss of the season.
“For us to come into a tough barn, and come back is pretty good, it shows that we have some character. Well take the point but were looking for two points every night in a short season like this."
Devan Dubnyk suffered the loss, but put forward a strong effort with 36 saves in the game.
The Oilers will close off their three game road trip Saturday afternoon in Colorado. (bu)
