The Edmonton Oilers have acquried veteran defenseman Mark Fistric from the Dallas Stars in exchange for a thrid round pick in the 2013 NHL Entry Draft.
Fistric, an Edmonton native played five seasons for the Stars collecting three goals, 20 assists, for 23 points and racking up 220 penalty minutes in 257 NHL games played.
Fistric is described as a physical, stay at home defenseman.
The Oilers have recalled defenseman Taylor Fedun from the Oklahoma City Barons of the American Hockey League.
In 35 games played this season, Fedun has two goals, seven assists for nine points. General manager Steve Tambellini says Fedun is only up for training camp.
Tambellini also announced defenseman Theo Peckham has a hip flexor injury, there's no timeline on his recovery.
