Some sad news for hockey fans to start the weekend. The National Hockey League has officially cancelled another batch of regular-season games.
The league has scrapped all games through Nov. 1 hdue to the absence of a collective bargaining agreement with the NHL Players' Association.
The lockout is now over a month old and the league has already cancelled the first two weeks of regular season.
82 games were wiped out with the initial cancellation of the schedule and with this new announcement 135 games will be lost. Both sides exchanged proposals this week in Toronto but no new talks are scheduled. (twd, with files from the Canadian Press)
