Councillor Don Iveson wonders if we're going to go through another arena debate two or three decades from now.
Iveson wants financing questions answered on the long range plan for a downtown arena complex. The questions he's asking deal with the life expectancy of facilities, which seem to get outdated a lot sooner than they used to.
Iveson's also pushing ahead on the Katz Group assertion that privately financed buildings don't make it. Three of the last four financed that way in Canada failed.Iveson says the excuses for the failures range.
Answers to all of council's written questions are expected to be filed in September. (sj, rp, ccg)
