The federal government has cut funding to an Alberta First Nation school after doing an audit of its attendance records.
Indian Affairs Department spokesman Glenn Luff says the funding was reduced by 165 thousand dollars after removing the names of 42 students from the Paul First Nation west of Edmonton.
The school receives almost eight thousand dollars a year for every student.
Several teachers and a parent allege they were asked to lie about attendance and the number of students at the school. (The Canadian Press/rp)
