Alberta's population could hit five million in the next quarter century.
Stats Canada is out with its new projections for 2036. And it says there could be anywhere from 4.5 to 5.4 million people living in this province by then. Right now, our population is closer to 3.7 million.
Across the country, the number of senior citizens is expected to more than double as the rest of the baby boomers turn 65. But, Alberta is still expected to be younger than the national average. (bd, ccg)
