A man who claimed he was shot during a home invasion may be Edmonton's semi-official April Fool.
We told you about the man who was shot in the leg in his home near 98th Street and 108th Avenue early yesterday.
He told police there as a home invasion and the bad guy shot him.
Turns out he'd been playing with his own pistol and it went off.
Police say it's lucky the bullet hit him and not his wife or one of two young children in the house.
He's facing multiple weapons charges and a count of public mischief.
The lesson learned from this story is: if you shoot yourself in the foot, don't try to blame someone else.
