A semi, travelling the wrong way on the Yellowhead Trail, crashed through a guardrail, rolled and burst into flames.
It happened around 1:15, this afternoon, near 178th street.
E.P.S. Spokesperson Karen Carlson tells 630 CHED News, there were early reports of carnage on the major roadway ....
"(Initial reports) indicated that there were a number of other vehicles on the roadway that were forced off the road into the ditch because of the semi."
Carlson says the semi driver did not survive the crash.
Eastbound traffic on the Yellowhead is being rerouted at 184th street, while westbound traffic is blocked at 170th street.
