The Lions ripped into the Eskimos on Friday night at B.C. Place Stadium.

B.C.'s Mike Reilly threw touchdown passes to Courtney Taylor and Nick Moore, Tim Brown ran in another touchdown, and Paul McCallum booted six field goals to propel the Lions to a 39-19 victory.

It was Reilly's first CFL career start at quarterback for the Lions with Travis Lulay trying to recover from a shoulder injury.

Edmonton's lone touchdown came via Cary Koch who made an amazing one-handed catch, stretched out in the endzone.

Grant Shaw kicked three field goals for the Esks and added another point with a punt single.

A safety handed Edmonton its remaining points.

The Eskimos fall to 7-9 on the season as they look to qualify for a playoff berth, while the Lions clinched first place in the CFL's West Division.

The Esks now prepare to battle the Alouettes in Montreal on Sunday, October 28th.

The pre-game show begins at 9:30am on 630 CHED with the kick-off 11am. (td)
