Ty Rimmer made 57 saves on Wednesday night at the Enmax Centre in Lethbridge, but that was about the only highlight for the Hurricanes in a 3-0 loss to the visiting Edmonton Oil Kings.

Curtis Lazar, TJ Foster and Henrik Samuelsson scored for the Oil Kings (3-0-0) as they cruised to victory, while outshooting the Hurricanes (1-2-0) by a margin of 60-20 over three periods. Samuelsson also racked up an assist on the night, while Stephane Legault finished with two points.

Lazar opened the scoring just 1:24 into the first period with his fourth goal of the year, while insurance goals from Foster and Samuelsson came at 7:50 and 17:49 of the third period. Tristan Jarry stopped 20 shots for Edmonton, securing the shutout for last year's WHL champions.
