The Edmonton Eskimos are reporting wide receiver Adarius Bowman tore the ACL and MCL of his left knee during the July 8 game versus the Saskatchewan Roughriders.
In a statement, Eskimos GM Eric Tillman calls this terrible news for Bowman, and for the club.
"The rehabilitation process from this injury is normally nine to 10 months, and our prayers will be with him for a full recovery," Tillman writes. "Adarius is blessed with a very competitive drive and spirit, and that tenacity will be one of his greatest assets during this process."
Bowman tied with Fred Stamps as the team's leading receiver in 2011, with 1,153 yards. (scb)
