The Edmonton Oilers have signed two of their restricted free agents, locking up goaltender Devan Dubnyk and defenceman Jeff Petry for two years each.
Dubnyk, 26, will be paid $7-million over two years. He has spent the last three seasons with the Oilers. In 2011-12, he went 20-20-3 with a .914 save percentage and a 2.67 goals against average. He posted two shutouts.
Petry, 24, had two goals and 23 assists in 73 games last season. His deal is for $3.5-million over two years.
The Oilers have also signed left winger Dane Byers to one year contract. Byers, 26, spent most of last season in the American Hockey League. He had 29 penalty minutes in eight games in the NHL with Columbus. (jrw)
