Edmonton Eskimos linebacker J.C. Sherritt and kicker Grant Shaw have been honoured for their Week One efforts in a 19-15 win over Toronto.
Sherritt has been named the CFL's Defensive Player of the Week after recording 11 tackles, one tackle for a loss, and a forced fumble.
Kicker Grant Shaw is the CFL's Special Teams Player of the Week after a four-for-four night kicking field goals. Shaw also recorded a 71.6 yard kick-off average.
