A 30-yard field goal by Rob Maver with no time left on the clock capped off a wild 20-17 win for the Calgary Stampeders over the Edmonton Eskimos in CFL pre-season action Friday night.
Marquay McDaniel caught a 15-yard pass from third-string quarterback Brad Sinopoli, and then a five-yard pass for a two-point convert as the Calgary Stampeders rallied to tie the Edmonton Eskimos 17-17 at 13:54 of the fourth quarter.
In the last minute of play, David Pittman blocked a punt by Edmonton's Burke Dales to give Calgary the ball back and set up Maver's winning field goal.
Joe Burnett returned an interception 80 yards for a touchdown in the second quarter for the Eskimos, who built up a 17-9 lead before the Stamps rallied for the victory in front of an announced crowd of 23,629 fans at McMahon Stadium.
