The number one rated prospect for this month's NHL Entry Draft in Pittsburgh paid a visit to Edmotnon today.

Sarnia Sting forward Nail Yakupov toured the facilities of Rexall Place today.  The Russian sniper is projected by many to be the first overall selection by the Oilers on June 22nd.  Yakupov says however, going first overall isn't guaranteed.

"Exactly, I want to be first but I can't say anything for now, I don't know who's going to go first in the draft", Yakupov said.  "We'll see what happens for now from me.  It's a good organization, I meet the guys, it's a great hockey club, it's also amazing inside the room.  It be nice for to play here I think."

Yakupov scored 31 goals and 38 assists for 69 points in just 42 games with Sarnia in an injury plauged season.

Oiler head of amateur scouting Stu MacGregor tells 630 CHED's Oilers Now with Bob Stauffer that Yakupov is one of five players being considered for the number one overall selection.  The others are Edmonton Oil Kings defenseman Griffin Reinhart, Everett Silvertips defenseman Ryan Murray, Quebec Remparts centre Mikhail Grigerenko, and Swedish forward Filip Forsberg.

Grigorenko will visit Edmonton on Thursday while Murray will visit on Friday.
