Edmonton Rush defenseman Kyle Rubish has been named the National Lacrosse League's Defensive Player of the Year.
In his second season, Rubish lead the league with 43 forced turnovers. He finished sixth in the NLL with 151 loose balls and helped the Rush to the second lowest goals against total in the league.
The Rush will face the Rochester Knighhawks in the National Lacrosse League championship on Saturday at 5:30pm in Rochester.
