Oil Kings take 3-0 series lead in Moose Jaw

Michael St. Croix scored the winning goal and Laurent Brossoit made 30 saves as the Edmonton Oil Kings moved within a win of the Western Hockey League final with a 3-2 victory over the Moose Jaw Warriors on Tuesday.

Edmonton, which has yet to lose a game in the post-season and has a record of 11-0, leads the Eastern Conference final 3-0. Overall the Oil Kings have won 22 straight games over the regular season and playoffs. Edmonton hasn't lost since Feb. 22 when they suffered a 6-4 defeat to the Kelowna Rockets.Game 4 is Wednesday in Moose Jaw, when the Oil Kings can try for their third straight sweep and a berth in the league final.

T.J. Foster and Curtis Lazar also scored for Edmonton.Brayden Point and James Henry replied for Moose Jaw. Luke Siemens stopped 20 shots for the Warriors.(The Canadian Press/rp)
