Oil Kings beat Warriors 6-1 to take a 2-0 series lead

Laurent Brossoit stopped 48 shots as the top-seeded Edmonton Oil Kings defeated the visiting Moose Jaw Warriors 6-1 on Sunday in WHL playoff action.

Brossoit, who last week earned the Canadian Hockey League's goalie of the week award, has won his last 19 starts dating back to the regular season.

In total, Edmonton has won 21 games in a row, including 10 in the post-season, and now lead the Eastern Conference final 2-0.

Jordan Peddle scored twice for the Oil Kings, Henrik Samuelsson had a goal and an assist and Curtis Lazar, Martin Gernat and Mitchell Moroz had a goal apiece.

Kenton Miller scored the lone goal for the Warriors while Luke Siemens allowed five goals on 31 shots in a losing effort.

Edmonton went two for six on the power play as Moose Jaw scored once on six chances with the man advantage.
