Sarnia Sting forward Nail Yakupov is the number one rated North American skater according to the latest draft eligible rankings released by Central Scouting. Yakupov scored 31 goals and 69 points in 42 games for the Sting this season.
Defenseman Ryan Murray of the Everett Silvertips is ranked second. He scored nine goals and 31 points in 46 regular season games.
Dropping down to third is Quebec Remparts centre Mikhail Grigorenko who scored 40 goals and 85 points during the regular season.
Rounding out the top five are Sarnia centre Alex Galchenyuk and defenseman Morgan Rielly of the Moose Jaw Warriors.
The NHL Draft Lottery is tomorrow, the Oilers have second best chance of finishing with the top pick.
