Police continue investigating Saturday after a shooting at Great West Chrysler Jeep took two lives and left one person in hospital in serious condition.

Saturday morning, police tape cordoned off the service department of the west-end dealership. The dealership, located at 178 Street and Stony Plain Road, is closed for the weekend.

Edmonton Police say one of the two who were killed was the alleged shooter.

Employees at the dealership have said the shooter was an employee named Dave Burns, who had been recently removed from the job for making offensive remarks.

A police officer who rushed to respond to the fatal shooting of two men at an Edmonton car dealership discovered that one of the dead was her husband.

Edmonton police have not released the names of either of the men who died Friday morning at Great West Chrysler.

A third man who was wounded in the shooting was being treated in hospital for life threatening injuries.

Great West employees identified him as Dave Burns, whom they say was recently suspended for making racially-charged comments. They also identified his victim as Garth Radons, who worked in the parts department.

Autopsies on the suspect and the victim are scheduled for Monday. (aa,jg,Canadian Press, blb)
