What a performance by the Eskimos, their best game of the season by far, as they defeated the B.C Lions 45-13.
Eskimos running back and Eskimos quarterback Ricky Ray were the show in this game. Ray had two rushing touchdowns and threw for 248 yards and also threw for a touchdown. Arkee Whitlock was also clutch running for 165 yards on just twenty carries. Whitlock also found the end zone twice.
The B.C Lions weren't so lucky in this game, they not only lost their first string quarterback Casey Printers, they also lost their back up quarterback, Buck Pierce to injury. So the Lions were forced to go with their third and last quarterback Zack Champion who didn't fair very well in the game, who was just 4 of 14 for 35 yards and threw an interception which on this night, was not what the Lions were hoping for out of their quarterback.

The Edmonton Eskimos kept their playoff hopes alive Friday night, as they destroyed the Toronto Argonauts, 36-10, on a cool, damp night at Commonwealth Stadium.
As he was in a win in Toronto two weeks earlier, running back Arkee Whitlock was huge again, carrying the ball 15 times for 114 yards and one touchdown.
Ricky Ray was his steady self at quarterback, completing 22 of 34 passes for 332 yards, with one touchdown pass. Fred Stamps was his favourite target on the night, as Stamps hauled in seven of those passes for 139 yards, strengthening his league lead in both, catches and receiving yards.
The Eskimos' defence was strong throughout the night, holding the Argos' offence to just 260 yards. The "D" forced three turn-overs, turning two of those in touchdowns, including a T.J. Hill 58-yard return for a TD to start the third-quarter.
With the win, the Eskimos improved their record to 8-9, temporarily moving into a third-place tie with the B.C. Lions in the CFL West Division, pending the outcome of the Lions' game against Calgary, Saturday night in Vancouver. The Esks also vaulted past both, Hamilton and Winnipeg, for the cross-over berth to the East Division. The ...

There is only one way to sum up this game tonight, ugly. The Eskimos did not even score a touchdown as their were beaten by the Stampeders by a score of 30-7.
The offense simply couldn't move the ball into scoring position. Ricky Ray was 25 of 40 for 239 yards and running back Arkee Whitlock had 8 carries for 71 yards.
The defense held their own in the game, unfortunatley they were on the field too much and just couldn't hold off the high powered offense of the Stampeders.
The Eskimos have now lost six of their last eight games and if they want to get into the playoffs it's more and more looking like their going to have to cross over to the Eastern division.

The Edmonton Eskimos are back in the thick of things in the CFL playoff picture, after a 22-19 win over the Toronto Argonauts Friday night at Rogers Centre.
Arkee Whitlock was the star of the performance, rushing 17 times for 145 yards, and two touchdowns.
Ricky Ray hit Fred Stamps for a 63-yard pass and run, to give the Esks a 7-3 lead in the first quarter.
The Argos led 9-8 at half-time.
With the Eskimos leading 15-12 in the fourth-quarter, Whitlock scampered 53 yards to give the green and gold a 10-point lead.
Toronto made a game of it late, with a touchdown with just over two minutes to go in the fourth. But, the Eskimos were able to take the clock down, allowing Kerry Joseph and the Argos just 12 seconds to try and go more than 100 yards.
With the win, the Eskimos move into a temporary third-place tie with the B.C. Lions in the CFL West Division. The Lions are home to Winnipeg Sunday. At the same time, the Esks move two points ahead of the Bombers and Hamilton Ti-Cats, for the possible cross-over playoff spot to the East Division.
