B.C. Lions defensive lineman Khalif Mitchell has been suspended two games by the Canadian Football League.

Mitchell in the second quarter of last Friday's game against the Eskimos, grabbed the arm of Edmonton offensive lineman Simeon Rottier and pulled back on it causing the arm to hyper-extend.

CFL Commissioner Mark Cohon commented in a release by the league saying:

""This type of behaviour has no place in our game and will not be tolerated," Cohon said. "Any play that unnecessarily puts one of our players at risk of serious injury will be met with discipline."

The extent of Rottier's injury hasn't been determined yet, he's been ruled out for Thursday's game in Winnipeg.
