Police need help identifying hit-and-run driver

Winnipeg police are looking for help identifying a suspect in a hit-and-run with a cyclist.

On May 31 of this year, police say a cyclist heading eastbound on Academy Road at Cambridge Street was struck by a southbound vehicle.

The cyclist was injured.

The driver remained on scene for a short time, but left before being identified and making conduct with officers.

The driver and vehicle is described as:

Male
Asian in appearance
50 years of age
6’ 0” tall
175 lbs.
Medium build
Wearing a baseball cap and glasses
Vehicle:

Mid 2000’s Nissan Sentra or Toyota
Four door
Beige or brown in colour
Cracked windshield


The investigation is continuing by members of the Central Traffic Unit. Anyone with information regarding the identity of the driver and vehicle involved is asked to contact police at 204 986-6271.
