Winnipeg police have re-opened roads and businesses in 300 block of Madison near Polo Park after it was closed to investigate a suspicious package.
Around 10:30 this morning, police evacuated the Perkins restaurant at the corner of Madison and Ness Avenue, blocking off the parking lot so patrons couldn't retrieve their vehicles.
Police say their was a suspicious item located outside the restaurant.
Ness Avenue was closed off and the Bomb Unit was brought in. It was determined to be a commercial tube carrying some stuff that had fallen off a delivery truck.
Police now say the area is safe and everything has been re-opened.
