The Winnipeg Chamber of Commerce would like to see some targets set for income growth. This after Statistics Canada figures show Manitoba has the smallest increase in average weekly earnings among the country's provinces:
Chamber President Dave Angus says more head offices and higher education both drive income growth. Saskatchewan and Newfoundland/Labrador had the highest growth at 5.4 percent. Income growth in Manitoba was only 1.1 percent.
