No one was hurt in a helicopter crash this morning near Russell, Manitoba.
RCMP say emergency crews responded to the crash about 6 kilometers south of Silverton at 11 o'clock.
A Bell 206 Jet Ranger helicopter owned by a North Bay, Ontario company lost control while spraying crops and plummeted to the ground.
The chopper was destroyed on impact, but the pilot - the only occupant - made it out and walked to a farmyard for help. He was taken to hospital for treatment.
RCMP and Transport Canada continue to investigate.
