The city of Winnipeg's Executive Policy Committee will consider lowering the speed limit in school zones to 30 kilometres per hour this morning.
A city report suggests the limits only be in place near schools with students in Grade 6 or lower. As many as 230 Winnipeg schools could be affected.
The limits would be in place Monday to Friday, 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., during the school year.
