Authorities in Elliot Lake have confirmed two people are trapped in the rubble after a portion of the roof at the Algo Centre Mall.
The roof, which is used as a parking lot, caved in on Saturday afternoon injuring 22 with an unknown number of people still unaccounted for.
Authorities say it could take another 12 hours before crews are able to get to the trapped shoppers.
So far there are no reports of injuries.
