Rescue crews spent several hours on the Red River Wednesday night under the Norwood bridge searching for a person who had gone into the water..
Two men had apparently jumped into the river just after 6 pm..
Chris Pelletier told Global News He was biking along the river around that time when he watched in shock as the first person took the plunge and struggled to swim to shore..
The second man never came up... The Winnipeg Police Dive Unit will resume its search for the missing man Thursday morning..
