MPI not asking for increase in premiums
CJOB News Team reporting
6/15/2012

Good news for vehicle owners in this province.    Manitoba Public Insurance  is not asking for an overall rate increase in its general rate application for the 2013/14 insurance year.  The application requests a rate decrease for about 82-hundred motorcycles.  MPI President Marilyn McLaren says the public auto insurer has held the line or reduced rates in 14 of the past 15 years.  Of course the rates you do pay still depend largely on your driving record,  the kind of vehicle you're driving,  what it's used for,  and where you live.
