Smoke billows from a fire  at General Scrap  in the R-M of Springfield   Tuesday evening..

The fire started late Tuesday afternoon and caused  visibility problems along Springfield road and the Perimeter..

Try to avoid the area if possible..

At one point  more than 60 firefighters were battling the blaze  from at least two area fire departments..
