CJOB's Robert Holland reporting
The Manitoba Beef Producers has a special feature in its June Newsletter -- entitled Spotlight on "The Flood: A Year after"..
While hundreds of Flood victims near Lake Manitoba are contemplating a class action law suit against the province claiming the flood was man-made, MBP says producers suffered the biggest blow from the devastation.
The group contends Beef Producers, who were forced to take on the burden of the flood , still face uncertainty and hardship.. They are still picking up the pieces and trying to deal with what the future may hold for their operations and their families..
The Producers group wants the three levels of government to treat these Manitobans fairly, compensate them fully, and find workable solutions to prevent flooding in the future..
