Manitoba's Highway of Heroes runs from just west of Winnipeg to CFB Shilo. A special dedication ceremony was held near St. Francis-Xavier this morning. Jim Seggie who lost his son Corporal Mike Seggie in a fatal ambush in Afganistan in 2008. He was there and expressed his appreciation on CJOB:
CJOB's Kim Lawson spoke with current and former members of the Canadian Armed Forces and their family members at the unveiling.
You'll now see a billboard on the Trans-Canada to mark the start of the roadway.
