The delivery of new garbage and recycling carts to single-family homes begins today. It will take four months to deliver some 320-thousand carts to single-family homes across the city. The carts hold up to three full standard garbage bags. The recycling carts hold the equivalent of four standard blue boxes. City officials will have more to say about the program during the noon-hour today.
