The Assiniboine Park Conservancy hopes to raise one million dollars this month..
It's part of the group's 200-million dollar redevelopment plan. Conservancy president Margaret Redmond told CJOB their vision is making Assiniboine Park one of the greatest Urban Parks in North America..
And, She says there's no room for any water park because their main goal is connecting people to nature..
Redmond says to mark the raising of more than half the funds for the new redevelopment plan they are celebrating Sunday.
"Party for the Park" goes from Noon to 4 pm..
