Damage was estimated at 170-thousand dollars following a fire Thursday afternoon in the 200 block of Powers street..
Fire crews responded to a house on the street around 3:30pm.
There were no injuries. The cause is under investigation by the Arson Strike force.. Aberdeen Avenue was closed to traffic between Salter Street and Powers Street for a time because of the fire.
