An alert neighbour in Guadalajara, Mexico helped authorities find the two Winnipeg children who were allegedly abducted by their father in 2008.
The two Maryk children were rescued after a neighbour told a private investigator he recognized the two kids on a Mexican TV show.
The home was raided on Friday and the children were found safe.
A post on the Mexican FIND Foundation’s website says the father, Kevin Maryk and his associate Robert Groen were arrested by INTERPOL Mexico. Both had warrants out for their arrest in connection with the abduction.
Winnipeg Police say they will release more information at a press conference Monday morning.
